Gifting in Memory

Your loved one made a difference to the lives of many.

By supporting the Sleep Apnoea Trust their memory lives on, and they continue to have an impact — helping others receive the care, support, and understanding they need.

You may wish to create a tribute page through Much Loved or Memory Giving (or, indeed use other platforms such as Just Giving) in their honour, just as Steven Langdell’s family did here: Tribute to Steven Langdell, 1955 – 2025.

Steven_LangdellMy husband, Steven, was diagnosed with mild/moderate obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) in 2018 and used CPAP therapy which controlled the condition. Sadly, there is so little knowledge, generally about, and certainly not enough funding for, awareness of OSA and support for patients and their families. The Sleep Apnoea Trust fills this gap but as we found out, have little resource to do so. When Steven died in 2025, we decided to ask for donations in his memory to go to the Sleep Apnoea Trust even though, at that point, we didn’t know the cause of Steven’s passing. We felt strongly that there needs to be more awareness of this condition, as we have learnt that if it is left untreated it can cause fatal damage to organs. We know that our choice of charity will certainly help inform many more people and with a ripple effect, hopefully those people will pass on their knowledge.

What your gift supports:

Our e-mail helpline: Support our team in responding to people living with Sleep Apnoea, helping them access guidance, reassurance, and vital support when they need it most.

Awareness raising: Helping more people to recognise the signs of Sleep Apnoea earlier. Your loved one’s legacy could help someone seek help sooner — and potentially change, or even save, a life.

Membership fees: With your help, membership fees are kept to a minimum to allow as many people as possible to access all parts of the Trust.

Administration:  Help sustain the essential work that supports patients, their partners, and their families behind the scenes — allowing us to continue making a difference every day.

Every gift, no matter how small, given in memory helps us reach more people affected by Sleep Apnoea.
