Medical Equipment Baggage Tag

SATA recommends that when travelling, patients should carry their CPAP with a highly visible Medical Equipment Baggage tag. In these difficult times, especially when flying, you need to make it easy for your CPAP equipment to stay with you. CPAP is difficult to replace at your destination should it be lost or damaged by going into the baggage hold of an aircraft, so it must be carried on as additional hand baggage. Even when you arrive at your destination, an enthusiastic porter, with good intentions may, in the process of transferring your bags to your room, drop it or misplace it.

So, the rule is keep your CPAP equipment with you. The baggage tag is made of the same material as our plastic credit card style Medical Alert card, with a leather strap, so is strong and robust. The card carries your surname and initial, plus your mobile phone number for security reasons, as it is in public view when you travel. It is only available to Members at a cost of £10.
